Preparation with counsel

Trial preparation covers the sequence of the direct, the exhibits Preston will rely on (video clips, POS excerpts, schedules, training records, policy pages), demonstratives that make the timeline clear, and the cross-examination themes the opposing expert and counsel are likely to raise. Preston prepares with retaining counsel in the weeks before trial and is available for pre-trial hearings.

How he testifies

Preston explains bar, nightclub, restaurant, and hotel operations the way he ran them: what a bartender sees from the well, what a manager is supposed to be doing at midnight, how a tab is built, what a training certificate does and does not prove. Jurors do not need industry background to follow him. He stays within his opinions, concedes what the records do not show, and does not argue the law.

He has testified at trial in Alabama (Glen v. Willis, 300 Bar, LLC and Black Market Bar & Grill, Jefferson County, 2021) and Florida (Massey v.
